Liminal: A Question of Position - Iniva (2009)

Larry Achiampong and Chris Lane worked with The INIvators (a group of young people who develop ideas and activities with Iniva) to examine the politics of contributory digital culture in dialogue with the city, Iniva, the Rivington Place building and the main exhibition space for Liminal.
A 'digital canvas', located at the foyer entrance of Iniva was continually updated by Lane, Achiampong The INIvators and six students from London Metropolitan University in collaboration with the public's intervention via personally uploaded data whilst also using data feeds from the various artworks in the exhibition.

Liminal: A Question of Position was an exhibition curated by Iniva in February 2009 and supported by the Department of Applied Social Sciences at London Metropolitan University. For six weeks over 20 artists came together to investigate what it means to live in a city - the urban hub where culture, society and beliefs collide.  They used digital media to explore the contemporary urban experience and question the way in which we position ourselves within the city - both physically and culturally.
